• About
Hey, I'm Winter.
I’m a stubborn optimist, driven by the belief that effective storytelling can power the innovation needed to tackle the climate crisis. With a background in climate communication and startup acceleration, I help ensure the brilliance of technical founders and their ideas isn’t lost in translation.
As founder of Winter Wilson Consulting, I offer fractional marketing and communications support, acting as an ad-hoc Chief Marketing Officer for early-stage climate and clean energy startups. My flexible model ensures your marketing strategy evolves with your company’s growth, from go-to-market to investor readiness.
Previously, I led marketing and community strategy at Joules Accelerator, supporting more than 30 startups advancing grid-edge and clean energy innovation. During my master’s at Yale’s School of the Environment, I helped launch OnePointFive, a sustainability advisory firm, where I served as Chief Marketing Officer.
My work spans brand and website development, storytelling and PR, pitch and investor materials, and communications strategy. Whether you’re defining your brand or scaling your presence, I help founders and teams tell the story that drives their next stage of growth.

Implement
I act as your fractional marketing lead, helping you execute, iterate and evolve your strategy as you grow.
"We don't have the right to give up or let up. Optimism means envisioning our desired future and then actively pulling it closer. Optimism opens the field of possibility, it drives your desire to contribute, to make a difference, it makes you jump out of bed in the morning because you feel challenged and hopeful at the same time."
